Titles
As you can see, I've taken some from Haley's post as well as a couple of Pam's suggestions and listed them on the left. Please comment if there's anything anyone feels strongly about. Myself, I feel strongly that I really don't want to read "Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl" this semester. ;-)

I've never read the first two on the list, nor "The Professor and the Madman"--I just donated my copy of it to the Goodwill, after deciding I probably wasn't ever going to manage it. The Book of Margery Kempe in total is... not the kind of light reading we might be looking for, as it was written in the fifteenth century and all. I mean I'm totally all for it, but if reading Chaucer for fun isn't what you're here for, Margery might not do it either. I think it would be nice to branch out to another author? What do you all think? By the way, I just saw the film version of Persepolis, and recommend it!
ReplyDeleteWow, I couldn't figure out how to get back to the list I started... I'm still trying to navigate this thing (I've never actually worked on a blog through this program). Sorry that I've been MIA for a bit. Do you still want me to publish the full list (I think I figured out how to)? I'm reading As I Lay Dying for class, House of Leaves for fun, and getting over a really bad cold... So I hope the first book we read is something light and mildly uplifting.
ReplyDeleteI think light & uplifting would be just the thing...please feel free to post whatever you want, the blog belongs to all of us.
